The dresses and accessories are handmade in Bali, Indonesia. The women work in small, rural workshops or at home in their villages and receive a fair wage. Since Balinese women have always gathered together to create artistic handicrafts or offerings while also caring for their children, this way of working supports their traditional rhythm of life. This counteracts migration to the cities. The designs are all Swiss-Australian.
